HOT DIP GALVANIZED SQUARE PIPE

HOT DIP GALVANIZED SQUARE PIPE

Hot Dip Galvanized (GI) Square Pipes are MS pipes with a square cross-section coated with a layer of zinc through the hot-dip galvanizing process. GI square pipes are commonly used as Solar Structures, for structural support, framework, and aesthetic applications, offering both strength and resistance to rust and environmental damage.

FAQ'S

A GI square pipe is a mild steel structural tube covered by a zinc coat through hot dip galvanization. It is long-lasting, corrosion-resistant, and widely used in construction and industry.

GI square pipes have applications in solar panel frames, fences, scaffolding, industrial sheds, and building structures. Their resistance to rust and being strong in structure make them suitable for indoor and outdoor applications.

An MS square pipe is constructed using untreated mild steel, while a GI square pipe is galvanized through hot dip to apply zinc coating. GI pipes are more resistant to corrosion and hence are used for outside or rough exposures.

The pipe is initially washed, and subsequently, it is dipped in molten zinc at a temperature of approximately 450°C. This creates a metallurgical bond between steel surface and zinc, resulting in a uniform and strong galvanized coating for corrosion protection.

You can procure high-quality GI square pipes from Parco Engineers. We supply a range of sizes, wall thicknesses, and coatings to meet different construction and industrial needs. Get in touch with us for specifications and quotations.
